Swimming
Piers attended Sea Eagles swimming club weekly and has taken part in a number of galas. Piers has had some notable success in swimming and has competed in the County Championships three years running.
He won the Cluster Swimming Gala twice. Piers best result to date was when he won an extremely competitve and close race to become Norfolk Schools County Champion in Freestyle.
Rugby
Piers pictured in the srum cap was an integral part of The Glebe House rugby team. His size, power and agility are a great asset on the rugby field. The under 11 team that Piers played in went undefeated all season against most of the major schools in Norfolk. In 2017 Piers is played as an under 12 in the under 13 team and became the all time try scoring record holder for Glebe House. Piers was the captain of the U13 team and broke his own try scoring record in 2018
Piers now at Oundle School plays for the under 14 A team as Outside Centre.
Following his performances Piers has been selected for the Northampton Saints Development Programme.
In September 2019 Piers was promoted to the Northampton Saints Player Development Group.
Football
Piers both supports and plays football. His team is Arsenal and he has been fortunate to be able to go and see them play at the Emirates on a couple of occasions. Piers plays for Docking Rangers who the league last year. Piers is very grateful to Carl the team manager who despite Piers' irregularity for being available always finds him a place in the team. Piers' best position is central defender or central midfield.
Athletics
Piers just enjoys all sports so when it comes to Athletics this is no different (however there's always one exception). He often represents the Glebe House School in various athletics events. His best event, although he dislikes it with a passion is the cross country and 800m. Despite this on the three occasions Piers has entered the cross country cluster games (bringing all the schools in the area together and with over 30 competitors for each age group) he has won.
Piers also entered the GHS Super Sprint Triathlon for 9-10 years in 2015 finishing 1st and again in 2017 for 11-15 years finishing 3rd.
In 2018 Piers finished 1st in year in the Oundle School Cross countrty competition, coming secong overall in House.
In June 2019 Piers became U15 Northampton County 300m Champion.
Cricket
Piers played Cricket for the Glebe House School team and is a member of The Thornham Cricket Club. Piers won the Glebe trophy for the highest batting average in the 2017 and 2018 season and for the best bowler in 2018.
Hockey
One of Piers' favorite sports is Hockey. He played for Glebe House School in the under 13 team since the age of 10. Piers Played for Pelicans Hockey Team.
In 2017 Piers was awarded the U12 Pelicans Player of the Year.
In 2019 Piers was selected to play for the Oundle School Hockey A team.
Tennis
Piers played Tennis for The West Norfolk Tennis Academy. He played in a number of Tournaments at Easton and Britain's biggest Tennis Tournament played at Hunstanton.
Piers has played for the school team on each occasion they have won the Sainsburys Cluster Tennis games.
School Life
Piers is an integral part of Glebe House School having started there at just 19 months old in the nursery. In addition to the many sporting achievements already mentioned he has represented the school in other endeavours with great success across a diverse range of subjects including: bible reading, sonnet writing, maths competitions, science competitions, drama competitions, and music exams.
He is naturally bright giving rise to some great academic achievements too including the highest ever result in a maths Common Entrance paper and winning the Headmaster’s award for academic excellence.
All of this resulted in him being awarded an The Morgan-Brown all-rounder scholarship for his 2 senior years at the school.
In September 2018 Piers was awarded a General Scholarship at his Senior School Oundle.
